electric motor, a 1.8 litre VVT-i petrol engine, a generator, a power
control unit, a high performance battery, a power split device that
employs a gear set for combining and re-allocating power from the motor,
and the engine and the generator according to the operational
requirements. The power generator and the electric motor along with the
power split device have been housed in one compact casing of the size of
a gearbox. Drive to the front wheels is provided by a Shift-by-Wire,
seamless E-CVT (electric continuously variable transmission) of the full
Hybrid Cars system of the new CT 200h.
