The 2017 Camaro ZL1 was slated to have 640 lb to ft of torque and 640 hp according to previously published information. However after a leaked guide published on July 29th, 2016, the new Camaro will in fact have an amped output of 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. These numbers are a match for the current model of the Corvette Z06 which also features an engine like the ZL1 engine. For car enthusiasts looking for an affordable new sports car with amazing speed and power, the 2017 Camaro ZL1 is an excellent choice.

Revealed at the 2016 New York Auto Show, this Camaro promises to be one of the biggest and baddest ones yet. The 6.2 Liter V8 engine is responsible for all of the torquing power that can be found inside these machines. When you’re looking for 0 to 6o mph in 4 seconds flat, there is no need to look anywhere else. The engine is slated to be paired alongside either a 10 speed automatic or a 6-speed manual.

When will it come out?

Later this year, the Camaro ZL1 will be released in its two door style with the convertible version joining the lineup early in 2017. Camaro enthusiasts have a lot to choose from with the proposed launch of the Camaro Z/28 also scheduled for 2017.

Insane new features

The new model of the Camaro ZL1 is more than just speedy, it is also packed with some pretty insane new features. The new technology includes six piston calipers in the front and four piston calipers in the back. There will also be magnetic ride control, launch control, driving modes selector, and an electronic limited slip differential.
