About the Ferrari Enzo
Every now and then you come across a company who doesn’t seem to be at a loss for technological innovation, world-class design, and the strive for excellence, ever. Of course, we’re referring to Ferrari and their top-notch line of Italian supercars. Starting with the F40 which was the first carbon fiber bodied car, and the first production car to hit 200 mph. Next came the F50 which topped 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. And then the Enzo was born!
The Ferrari Enzo, originally thought to be named the F60 to follow in the F-series succession, was instead named after Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari since the car was considered one of the company’s greatest creations with an all-new engine and an array of Formula One technologies. With only 400 of these supercars built, the Enzo remains one of the builder’s most sought after models…and for good reason.
The Enzo featured a cutting-edge composite body, a carbon-fiber and aluminum honeycomb sandwich chassis, and a V12/660hp engine. With certain F1 inspiration, the Enzo also displayed exceedingly advanced aerodynamics. In other words…a speed machine in its purest form.
