Reader’s Ride: Dan Burback- It’s a brand New 2012 Shelby GT500 Transformed into a 1967 GT500. The goal was to have both classic looks and modern muscle.
I cut off all of the outer new 2012 sheet metal, it only had 300 miles on it at that time, then welded on all brand new 1967 Mustang sheet metal. No body parts or Windows of the original 2012 were used. Handmade metal fender flairs and rear spoiler. 3D printed the front grill as well as the front turn signals and reverse lights. Fiberglass hand made front splitter and many more parts.
I did all the body modifications my self except for the paint, 4 years of weekends!
